Updating a previous report, Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants WCB Lamont Brightful, who was allocated to the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe this year, leads the league with a 29.7-yard average on seven kickoff returns. As reported, Brightful returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown during a game against the Cologne Centurions Saturday, April 16, and was named the league's Special Teams Player of the Week.

New York Giants CB Lamont Brightful, playing for the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe, has been named the league's Week 3 Special Teams Player of the Week, reports Giants.com. Brightful set the tone early in Frankfurt's 23-14 win over the Cologne Centurions when he took the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. He also recorded three passes defensed and one tackle in the game.
