Kelly Thesier, of Minnesota.Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins DH Ruben Sierra (biceps) could be back with the parent club sooner than expected after a roster spot opened up Thursday, June 15, with the trade of IF Juan Castro. Sierra was expected to play at least eight games with Triple-A Rochester, but if he performs well in Rochester's game Thursday, he could be called up soon after because the team is looking for another big bat off the bench.

Kelly Thesier, of Minnesota.Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins DH Ruben Sierra (biceps) reported to Triple-A Rochester Tuesday, June 13, to begin a rehab assignment. Sierra is expected to play at least eight games at Rochester, seeing time as both the designated hitter and in the outfield. When the Twins return from their current six-game road trip Friday, June 23, they will make a decision on when he will return.
