Robert Falkoff, of MLB.com, reports the Texas Rangers are interested in free agent OF Magglio Ordonez (knee) but are proceeding cautiously before deciding whether to fully enter the Ordonez signing sweepstakes. "We're going through the due diligence and there's a lot to do on that." The Rangers had negative experiences in 2004 with players coming off knee surgeries, OF Brian Jordan and 1B Brad Fullmer, and would have to be certain Ordonez was not at risk for further injury problems.
