The Associated Press reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays 1B/OF Marty Cordova has retired. "He's been bothered by back injuries over the last several seasons, and it has gotten to the point where he felt the best decision was to retire," Devil Rays general manager Chuck LaMar said.
