ESPNChicago.com reports Hall of Fame IF Ernie Banks wants former OF Sammy Sosa to come clean about using performance-enhancing drugs. Sosa is allegedly one of the 104 players that tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in baseball's 2003 survey testing. "Come clean with it," Banks said. "Explain it to them ... Just say: 'This is what happened.' It's hard to do, to admit this. Just admit it and live with it and understand it. I am sure a lot of people will forgive him."

Former Chicago Cubs OF Sammy Sosa has issued a "no comment" from his home in Miami regarding the Mark McGwire steroid story, according to The Chicago Tribune's Fred Mitchell. Sosa and McGwire were linked in the summer home run chase of 1998.

The Associated Press reports a lawsuit by a business seeking $203,000 from former major league baseball player Sammy Sosa has been thrown out by a Dominican Republic prosecutor. Adolfo Feliz said the suit lacked sufficient evidence. Carim Abu Nabaa alleged Sosa didn't pay him a commission of $150,000 on a house sale, $43,000 for a luxury watch, and $10,000 for getting Reggaeton singer Don Omar to perform at Sosa's 41st birthday party.

The Associated Press reports former MLB OF Sammy Sosa is being sued for $203,000 by a businessman that claims Sosa owes him commission on a house sale and other things. Carim Abu Nabaa alleges that Sosa has not paid him a commission of $150,000 on a house sale, $43,000 for a luxury watch and $10,000 for getting Reggaeton artist Don Omar to perform at Sosa's 41st birthday party.

ESPNChicago.com reports former MLB 2B Ryne Sandberg said he does not think former MLB OF Sammy Sosa belongs in the Hall of Fame because of integrity issues associated with the steroids era, according to the "Waddle & Silvy" show on ESPN 1000. "I think it's very unfortunate. I think suspicions were there as they are with some other players. Those players are now put in a category of being tainted players with tainted stats. I think it's obviously something that was going on in the game. Players participated in it and as the names have come out I think that they will be punished for that," Sandberg said.
