The witness list for the perjury trial involving former San Francisco Giants OF Barry Bonds has been disclosed, according to The Associated Press. The list includes former baseball players Bobby Estalella, Armando Rios, Marvin Benard, Benito Santiago, Randy Velarde and Jason Giambi's brother, Jeremy Giambi. Estalella is expected to testify that Bonds told him he used steroids. The prosecutors will call the other retired players and former football player Larry Izzo to the witness stand to discuss their steroid use.

The Chicago Tribune reports OF Armando Rios, an outfielder for the Chicago White Sox in 2003, was featured in the Mitchell Report released on Thursday, Dec. 13. The report, citing a San Francisco Chronicle story, said Rios was among three former San Francisco Giants players who admitted using performance-enhancing drugs. Rios, who played for the Giants from 1998 to 2001, was one of nine players subpoenaed before a grand jury in the BALCO case, which involved superstar Barry Bonds.

The Associated Press reports former San Francisco Giants OF Armando Rios told a federal investigator he received performance-enhancing drugs from the trainer for Giants OF Barry Bonds. He told the investigator that he purchased a human growth hormone and testosterone from Anderson, according to a memo obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle.
