The Chicago Tribune reports OF Mark Quinn, who hit 37 home runs for the Kansas City Royals in 2000 and 2001, signed a minor-league contract with the Chicago White Sox. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Rich Hummel reports St. Louis Cardinals OF Mark Quinn (groin) suffered a pulled groin muscle when he slipped on the sloppy ground running out of the batter's box. Cardinals trainer Barry Weinberg called the injury "moderate to severe."

The AP reports the Tampa Bay Devil Rays have signed Mark Quinn to a minor-league contract, financial terms of which were not disclosed. Quinn, released by Kansas City March 11 and then by San Diego in April, will report to Triple-A Durham.

The AP reports the San Diego Padres agreed to terms on a minor league contract with OF Mark Quinn. If Quinn makes the Padres’ roster, he’ll receive $500,000 on a one-year contract with an additional $250,000 possible via performance bonuses. He’s due to start the year with Triple-A Portland.
