The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have named Eric Owens batting coach for Double-A Arkansas, according to USAToday.com.

Angels.MLB.com reports the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced the coaching staff for their Single-A Cedar Rapids affiliate. Ever Magallanes will manage the club, and he will be joined by pitching coach Pedro Borbon, hitting coach Eric Owens and trainer Mike Metcalfe.

The Associated Press reports free agent OF Eric Owens (Angels) has agreed to a minor-league contract with the Seattle Mariners. If Owens is added, he would get a $525,000, one-year contract and the chance to make $200,000 in performance bonuses.
