Mike O'Hara, of the Detroit News, reports Detroit Lions head coach Steve Mariucci is considering replacing injured WR Shawn Jefferson (knee) with WR/KR Reggie Swinton. Swinton has done a good job on kick returns and has been getting more practice time at receiver. In Sunday's, Nov. 9, game against the Chicago Bears, Swinton caught a pass for 16 yards, ran nine yards on a reverse, and threw a pass on a flanker option.

Part of the reason the Dallas Cowboys traded WR Reggie Swinton to the Green Bay Packers had to do with the return game of Cowboys WR Zuriel Smith. Because Smith is younger, the Cowboys did not see a need for Swinton, so they decided to take a conditional seventh-round pick in return.
