The Detroit News reports the Detroit Tigers signed Wendell Magee to a minor-league contract and sent him to Triple-A Toledo. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed by Magee, who was with the Tigers last year.

USA TODAY reports P Mike Fyhrie was acquired on Monday by the Cleveland Indians from the Philadelphia Phillies. Fyhrie was designated the player to be named following a Mar. 26 trade of OF Wendell Magee Jr. to the Phillies. Cleveland assigned Fyhrie to Triple-A Buffalo.
