Tony Jackson, of the Los Angeles Daily News, reports Los Angeles Dodgers OF George Lombard (calf) strained his left calf Wednesday, Feb. 20, while participating in conditioning drills. Lombard is expected to be out for a few days.

MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports the Los Angeles Dodgers have signed free-agent OF George Lombard (Nationals) to a minor league contract with an invitation to attend major league spring training. Lombard saw action in the Washington Nationals' system last year, batting .244 with four home runs and 11 RBI with Triple-A Columbus.
