The Milwaukee Brewers may not pursue free-agent 1B Carlos Lee (Marlins) because they do not think he would be willing to be a fill-in starter until 1B Corey Hart (knee) returns.

The Tampa Bay Rays still are shopping for a DH and perhaps another outfielder, and the Tampa Bay Times notes that many familiar faces remain on the free-agent market. Among the former Rays who could return at DH are Luke Scott, Dan Johnson and Aubrey Huff. Other free-agent possibilities mentioned include Travis Hafner, Jim Thome and Carlos Lee.

Miami Marlins 1B Carlos Lee (neck) was back in the lineup Saturday, Sept. 15, against the Cincinnati Reds, and he finished 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Miami Marlins 1B Carlos Lee (neck) did not play Friday, Sept. 14, due to a sore neck, but manager Ozzie Guillen said he expects Lee to play Saturday, Sept. 15.
