The Associated Press reports the New York Mets will wait on further roster changes until they find out the status of OF Cliff Floyd (Achilles). If Floyd has to be removed from the roster, OF Endy Chavez would be a likely starting replacement and OF Ricky Ledee or OF Lastings Milledge would fill Chavez's spot on the roster. The 25-man NL Championship Series roster must be finalized by the morning of Oct. 11.

ESPN.com reports the New York Mets claimed OF Ricky Ledee off waivers from Los Angeles Dodgers Monday, Aug. 7. Ledee batted .245, with one home run and eight RBI, in 43 games for the Dodgers this season. He will likely be used as a left-handed bat off the bench for the Mets.
