Andrew Baggarly, of the San Jose Mercury News, reports San Francisco Giants 1B Ryan Klesko (wrist) has been unavailable the past two days because of a tender wrist. However, he took batting practice Wednesday, Sept. 19, and said the wrist has improved.

The Associated Press reports San Francisco Giants OF Ryan Klesko's 10th career grand slam helped the Giants to a 10-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Aug. 13. Klesko's slam came in the sixth against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Shane Youman, who is 0-4 since the All-Star break.

Chris Haft, of Giants.MLB.com, reports San Francisco Giants 1B Ryan Klesko (back) was bothered by back pain Thursday, Aug. 2, and was held out of the Giants' game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. In his place, 1B Mark Sweeney made his first start since June 15 at first base.

Updating a previous item, the Associated Press' Janie McCauley reports San Francisco Giants 1B Ryan Klesko (abdomen) was back in the lineup Sunday, July 1, after being a late scratch from the previous night's contest due to a mild abdominal strain on his right side. He responded with a big performance at the plate, driving in four runs on a home run, single and a double.

OF Nate Schierholtz stole his first of the season as did 1B Ryan Klesko, while SS Omar Vizquel and OF Randy Winn each stole their sixth and OF Barry Bonds notched his fifth steal of the year.
