Minnesota Twins SP Mike Maroth, OF Jacque Jones and 2B D'Angelo Jimenez have declared for free agency Friday, Nov. 5, according to The Sports Network.

The Minnesota Twins are unlikely to offer OF Jacque Jones a contract for the 2011 season, according to the Pioneer Press' Charley Walters. Jones hit .280 with four home runs in 96 games with Triple-A Rochester this year.

Updating previous reports, The Minneapolis Star Tribune's Joe Christensen reports Minnesota Twins OF Jacque Jones will be reassigned to Triple-A Rochester. However, he will play in the exhibition games at Target Field at the end of spring training.

The Associated Press reports Minnesota Twins OF Jacque Jones hit a two-run homer Wednesday, March 24, to help his team to a 4-1 win over the Florida Marlins. Jones has been told he remains in contention for the final bench spot along with IFs Alexi Casilla and Matt Tolbert.

Updating a previous item, The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting Minnesota Twins OF Jacque Jones has agreed to play at Triple-A Rochester if he is assigned to the minors sometime during spring training.

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports the Minnesota Twins signed free-agent OF Jacque Jones (Reds) to a minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training Tuesday, Feb. 9. Jones last played in the majors in 2008.
