St. Louis Cardinals 3B David Freese saw his 13-game postseason hitting streak come to an end in Game 4 of the World Series. Freese hit .456 (21-for-46) during the streak with seven doubles and 16 RBIs, but Texas Rangers SP Derek Holland kept him two shy of tying OF Marquis Grissom's 15-game playoff hitting streak, the longest by a National League player.

The Los Angeles Dodgers owe the Chicago White Sox $3.5 million per terms of the deal that sent OF Manny Ramirez to the team last season. They owe New York Yankees OF Andruw Jones $11 million, former OF Marquis Grissom $2.7 million and Levy Restaurants $588,000.

MLB.com's Bill Ladson reports that Marquis Grissom will not return as the Washington Nationals' first base coach for the 2010 season. However, a baseball source reports that he has been offered another position within the organization.
