Fri, 28 Aug 2009 16:58:13 -0400 The Arizona Republic reports the Arizona Diamondbacks have announced that former OF Luis Gonzalez will retire officially from baseball and rejoin the organization as special assistant to the front office. Gonzalez will assist team president Derrick Hall and other departments throughout the organization in his new role.
