Thu, 24 Feb 2005 08:10:47 -0800 The Associated Press reports former MLB OF Ron Gant was involved in an accident that killed an oncoming driver near the Atlanta airport. Fulton County Police said James Allen, 74, of Douglasville, Ga., who apparently was trying to make a left turn Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 22, cut into oncoming traffic and was struck by a sport utility vehicle driven by Gant. Allen died at the scene. Gant was not seriously injured, and no charges were expected, police spokesman Gary Syblis said Wednesday, Feb. 23.
