With TE Jeremy Shockey (knee) and TE Marcellus Rivers (knee) likely OUT for Week 14, the New York Giants will be forced to utilize their inexperienced tight ends. TE Visanthe Shiancoe, TE Darnell Dinkins and TE Tony McGee will likely be the three activated tight ends for Week 14.

Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants recently-acquired TE Tony McGee will suit up for Sunday's, Dec. 7, game against the Washington Redskins if TE Jeremy Shockey (knee) is unable to play. Head coach Jim Fassel said Shockey is doing better, but he does not believe will be able to play this week.

Updating previous reports, Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys have officially signed TE Tony McGee. He will, apparently, make a prorated base salary of $755,000.

With injuries to Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten (jaw) and James Whalen (hamstring), free agent TE Tony McGee is needed to fill in at tight end. McGee, who is expected to sign Tuesday, Oct. 7, was one of the final cuts of camp and was let go only because of a roster squeeze elsewhere. He will sign for the rest of the year, but Witten's injury is not too severe.

The Dallas Morning News reports the Dallas Cowboys will re-sign TE Tony McGee (Buccaneers), who was released by the team at the end of training camp. He'll be signed to replace TE Jason Witten (jaw), who suffered a broken jaw over the weekend.
