MLB | Bonds' wife files for divorce Sat, 27 Feb 2010 01:17:46 -0800 The Associated Press reports according to court records, Barry Bonds' wife of 12 years filed for divorce Thursday, Feb. 25, in Los Angeles. Liz Watson, who is seeking custody of the couple's 11-year-old daughter, cited irreconcilable differences. The documents say the couple already have reached a settlement agreement.

Colorado Rockies SP Tim Redding, Bacsik's former teammate with the Nationals, said he felt Bascik meant to groove the pitch to Bonds in order to receive publicity and make money. "Obviously, I didn't try to give it up," Bacsik said. "It was a 3-2 pitch, and the pitch before I threw a curveball that was just foul. Did I throw the ball good that night? No, but to say I tried to give up the home run I don't think is very smart. I was fighting for my life in the big leagues. I thought I might get sent down."

"It's been two years since he played his last game, and if there was any chance he'd be back in a major league uniform, it would have happened by now," Borris said. "When 2008 came around, I couldn't get him a job. When 2009 came around, I couldn't get him a job. Now, 2010... I'd say it's nearly impossible. It's an unfortunate ending to a storied career." However, Bonds has technically not retired from baseball.

The two were married in 1998 and have a 10-year-old daughter, Aisha. Watson cited irreconcilable differences in papers filed by her lawyer Monday, June 8, in Los Angeles Superior Court. She is seeking spousal support and joint legal and physical custody.

Among the evidence that prosecutors say is key to their case are three urine samples they say belong to Bonds and tested positive for the steroids methenolone and nandrolone.
