Mets | Juan Uribe receives start

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 14:53:31 -0700

New York Mets 3B Juan Uribe will start in third base against San Diego Padres SP James Shields Tuesday, July 28, and is batting fifth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is receiving his first start since joining the Mets and could see more time moving forward. He is hitting .263 with three home runs and eight RBI this month and could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore.

Mets | Juan Uribe, Kelly Johnson join Mets

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 16:11:03 -0700

Updating a previous report, the New York Mets have acquired 3B Juan Uribe and OF Kelly Johnson from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for SPs John Gant and Robert Whalen Friday, July 24.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) will receive everyday at-bats at third base while David Wright ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) it out, though Wright has no timeline for a return. Uribe is a low-end option in deep mixed leagues. Similarly, Johnson ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) doesn't tip the scales outside deep formats. He will likely bounce around the diamond a bit but figures to see the majority of time in the outfield and spelling Lucas Duda ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) at first base. Rookie Michael Conforto's fantasy stock suddenly looks a lot glimmer. Stay tuned for updates on what the plans are.

Mets | NYM after Juan Uribe and Kelly Johnson

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 16:01:32 -0700

Atlanta Braves 3B Juan Uribe and OF Kelly Johnson are close to being traded to the New York Mets, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: The Mets have holes up and down their lineup, and while neither Uribe ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) and Johnson ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) are flashy fantasy producers, there could be so low-end value in deep mixed leagues. Stay tuned, but there is no reason to rush to the waiver wire to check on the availability of Uribe and Johnson.

Braves | Pedro Ciriaco playing third base

Sun, 19 Jul 2015 12:16:45 -0700

Atlanta Braves INF Pedro Ciriaco will bat sixth and play third base against Chicago Cubs SP Jake Arrieta Sunday, July 19. INF Juan Uribe is receiving the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Ciriaco ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is 5-for-24 with one double during the month of July and is hitless in one career at-bat versus Arrieta. He should be ignored for FantasyScore purposes.

Mets | Jean Segura, Juan Uribe options for Mets?

Fri, 17 Jul 2015 10:58:08 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers SS Jean Segura and Atlanta Braves 3B Juan Uribe are seen as fallback options for the New York Mets as the trade deadline approaches.

Fantasy Tip: Segura ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) is more valuable to fantasy owners than Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) because of his stolen base potential. However, Segura would likely lose the most value in a deal to the Mets, but probably not all that much considering he doesn't hit for much power to begin with.

Braves | Juan Uribe enjoying Atlanta

Sat, 11 Jul 2015 19:45:01 -0700

Atlanta Braves 3B Juan Uribe is hitting .303 with seven home runs and 15 RBI in 40 games since joining the team compared to .247 with one home run in 29 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has been enjoying the change of scenery, and he is worth a look at FantasyScore if you are looking to free up a lot of cap space.

Braves | Juan Uribe returns to action

Sat, 11 Jul 2015 10:36:23 -0700

Atlanta Braves 3B Juan Uribe is batting fifth against Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa Saturday, July 11. INF Chris Johnson, who started at the hot corner Friday, will play first base Saturday and bat cleanup, with INF Kelly Johnson getting the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is 7-for-33 in his career against De La Rosa but is batting .292 since joining the Braves and is hitting .321 away from home this season, making him one of the biggest bargains in FantasyScore. Chris Johnson ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is another potential source of cap-friendly production this afternoon, with a .455 mark over the past week and two hits in three career at-bats against De La Rosa.

Braves | Juan Uribe out of the lineup vs. Rockies

Fri, 10 Jul 2015 15:00:21 -0700

Atlanta Braves 3B Juan Uribe is not in the starting lineup against the Colorado Rockies Friday, July 10.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has been solid for the Braves, and it is a shame he is missing out on an opportunity at Coors Field Friday. Through 38 games with Atlanta, Uribe has a .295/.355/.473 slash line with 15 runs, six home runs and 14 RBI. He has low-end value in deep mixed leagues and is a sneaky source of cap relief for FantasyScore players.

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 08:48:54 -0700

Atlanta Braves 3B Juan Uribe is not in the starting lineup against Philadelphia Phillies SP Cole Hamels Sunday, July 5. SS Pedro Ciriaco will start at third base and is batting sixth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) likely is receive a day off and should return to the lineup soon. Ciriaco ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting .321 in his limited playing time this season, but owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.

Braves | Juan Uribe on power streak

Thu, 02 Jul 2015 09:48:03 -0700

Atlanta Braves 3B Juan Uribe has hit three homers in the last four games and is hitting .400 in that span.

Fantasy Tip: Here comes the fine print. Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) and the Braves face Max Scherzer tonight. However, he's a great play on FantasyScore any other day!
