Kansas City Royals SS Miguel Tejada was implicated in the Biogenesis investigation, according to sources familiar with the case. Tejada was suspended 105 games over the weekend for positive tests for amphetamine use this year. Major League Baseball chose to go after Tejada for the amphetamine case over the Biogenesis case, though. It was Tejada's third positive test in his career for amphetamines. Tejada was allegedly a customer of Anthony Bosch's, and Bosch gave evidence that Tejada was his customer.

Kansas City Royals SS Miguel Tejada said he does not plan on retiring after receiving a 105-game suspension for testing positive for Adderall. Tejada will try to sign a contract with a team next season.
Fantasy Tip: It'll likely prove difficult for Tejada to get another job next season, but if he does, it'll probably be a minor league deal. Don't expect him to make the kind of impact he did this year, if at all.

Kansas City Royals INF Miguel Tejada (calf) has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list. He will miss the rest of the season.
Fantasy Tip: This explains why the Royals went after Emilio Bonifacio. It's a good move for them, if Boni turns things around at the dish and plays D consistently.

The Kansas City Royals have placed 2B Miguel Tejada (calf) on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right calf. In a corresponding move, INF Irving Falu has been recalled from Triple-A Omaha.

Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost said INF Miguel Tejada will be the team's starting second baseman for the foreseeable future. Entering play Sunday, Aug. 4, he was 11-for-28 with six RBIs in his previous eight games and had started eight of the team's last nine contests. Tejada batted second Sunday, but Yost said that was due in part to the game being played in a National League stadium.

The Kansas City Royals placed 2B Chris Getz (knee) on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, Aug. 1.
Fantasy Tip: A corresponding roster move wasn't announced, but the Royals could elect to bring back Johnny Giavotella to start at the keystone. If they go in another direction, Elliot Johnson and Miguel Tejada could split time at second.

Kansas City Royals 2B Chris Getz (knee) is not being limited just two days after injuring his left knee. Manager Ned Yost said Getz could have started the game Monday, July 22, but he opted to go with INF Miguel Tejada "because of matchups." It appears that Getz avoided a potentially serious injury.

The Kansas City Royals are expected to give 3B Mike Moustakas more time to improve now that George Brett has taken over as interim hitting coach. They want Moustakas to have a chance to work with the Hall of Famer. KC also doesn't have a sound replacement for Moustakas. Johnny Giavotella is learning to play third at Triple-A Omaha but is hitting .220 in 35 contests since May 1. Miguel Tejada is simply a part-time player at the moment.
Fantasy Tip: Still, if Moose doesn't show a spark soon, he'll probably be sent packing for a bit. Deep-leaguers could still stash him if they need CI potential, but it's looking like a tiresome exercise.
