Free-agent 2B Carlos Guillen (knee, calf) said he is completely healthy heading into the offseason. "I'm healthy," Guillen said. "My knee's good. My calf is good. I'm already working out in Miami, two weeks already."

Detroit Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski said free-agent OF Magglio Ordonez (Tigers) and 2B Carlos Guillen (Tigers) are unlikely to return to the team next year. "Magglio and Carlos — tremendous pros who've done a lot for our organization," Dombrowski said. "A couple of guys who have been integral parts. Odds are likely they won't be back." The team will make a push to re-sign 2B Ramon Santiago, but they expect other teams to be in the mix as well. RP Joel Zumaya and SP Brad Penny are also unlikely to be re-signed.
