CBSSports.com reports the San Francisco Giants recalled OF Andres Torres, 1B Jesus Guzman, 1B Rich Aurilia, OF John Bowker, SS Emmanuel Burriss (toe) and P Waldis Joaquin from the minors Tuesday, Sept. 1. Burriss was subsequently placed on the 60-day disabled list with a broken left toe.

Chris Haft, of MLB.com, reports San Francisco Giants 1B Rich Aurilia (ankle) is waiting to be activated from the disabled list. He was eligible to return Thursday, Aug. 27, but the team would rather have IF Ryan Rohlinger on their 25-man roster than Aurilia. He will have to wait until rosters expand Tuesday, Sept. 1, to be activated.
