Updating previous reports, Chicago Cubs IF Enrique Wilson clarified that a representative of one-time agent Jeff Moorad's former firm negotiated his contract, not Moorad himself. Alan Robinson, of the Associated Press, reports that agent Eugene Mato represents Wilson.

According to The Chicago Tribune, newly-signed Chicago Cubs IF Enrique Wilson claims Jeff Moorad, a former agent, steered him to the Cubs. Moorad, who used to be an agent for Cubs MAN Dusty Baker and several baseball players, is currently president and CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Under Major League Baseball rules, Moorad is not allowed to continue advising players and could be charged with tampering if MLB investigates Wilson's claim.
