Cincinnati Reds 3B Scott Rolen and SS Zack Cozart are both out of the lineup Thursday, July 19. Cozart is stuck in a 1-for-20 slump, and Rolen was receiving a regular day of rest. 3B Todd Frazier started at third and 3B Miguel Cairo moved to first base.

Cincinnati Reds 3B Todd Frazier will replace 1B Joey Votto (knee) at first base, and he'll shift to third on days when 3B Scott Rolen needs rest. On those days, 3B Miguel Cairo can move over to first base. C Dioner Navarro could be recalled when the team places Votto on the disabled list. Navarro is hitting .339 with Triple-A Louisville. OF Xavier Paul and INF Henry X. Rodriguez are other options to be recalled.

The Cincinnati Reds activated 3B Miguel Cairo (hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list Monday, May 7, and outrighted OF Willie Harris to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. Cairo went 0-for-10 with two strikeouts in three rehab games with Single-A Dayton.

Cincinnati Reds INF Miguel Cairo (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Daytona Thursday, May 3, and will play again Friday, May 4, and Saturday, May 5. He's expected to receive four at-bats per game and could rejoin the team Monday, May 7.

Cincinnati Reds 3B Miguel Cairo (hamstring) is making progress with his strained left hamstring. He was injured April 14. "I ran and hit the last two days and had no discomfort," Cairo said. "It's just one day at a time right now." Cairo is eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list Monday, April 30, but he was uncertain if he would be ready then.
