The Minnesota Twins claimed OF Erik Komatsu off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals Friday, May 4, and designated OF Clete Thomas for assignment in a corresponding move. 3B Sean Burroughs cleared waivers and accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Rochester.

The Minnesota Twins are interested in signing free-agent 3B Brandon Inge (Tigers), and they could use him as part of a platoon at third base with 3B Sean Burroughs, which would send 3B Danny Valencia to Triple-A Rochester for more seasoning.
