Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (calf) fielded ground balls and threw to first base Thursday, April 20. Manager Jeff Banister said Beltre looked "much better today" than during his last time taking grounders.

Updating previous reports, Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (calf) has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 calf strain after undergoing an MRI Tuesday, April 11. There is no timetable for his recovery.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (calf) is awaiting the results from an MRI he had Monday, April 10, after experiencing more discomfort in his right calf muscle. Beltre felt the discomfort while he was running Saturday, April 8, which is why he didn't come off the disabled list over the weekend.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (calf) was not activated off the disabled list Sunday, April 9 - the first day he was eligible to return. He has taken live batting practice and gone through some running drills in recent days, but is not at 100 percent yet. 3B Joey Gallo will continue to start in his place. "It is a day-to-day process. (Beltre) had a heavy workload (Saturday), so today is a day off. We have the day off (Monday). We will see where we are after that. He was sore after the work Saturday, but it was a heavy work day and I think it was more work soreness than anything else. My expectation is that when Adrian is ready, he will be in the lineup," manager Jeff Banister said.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (calf) is eligible to be activated from the disabled list Sunday, April 9, but the team has not yet decided when he will return to the lineup. He took batting practice against minor league pitchers and ran the bases Saturday, April 8, but has not progressed to the point where he was able to run at full speed.
