Texas Rangers 1B Lance Berkman (hip) said there hasn't been noticeable improvement in his left hip, but he's confident that he'll be activated from the disabled list when first eligible on July 22.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (hamstring) is expected to return from a tight left hamstring Wednesday, June 5, after he tried to talk his way into the lineup Tuesday, June 4. Beltre said his hamstring issue has been there all season. He doesn't think he'll need to go on the disabled list, but he won't play on turf against the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend, instead serving as the designated hitter. As a result, 1B Lance Berkman will likely play at least one game at first base in Toronto.
Fantasy Tip: Beltre is getting up there in age and has a history of leg injuries that have required DL stints. Ron Washington and the team are making sure he has enough rest to avoid another one of these situations. Get Beltre back in your lineup when he returns.
