Texas Rangers 3B Michael Young made his first start of the season at first base Saturday, May 5, against the Cleveland Indians. He has made four starts at second base, five at third base and 16 as the designated hitter. Young finished hitless in five at-bats, but is still batting .318 on the season.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (hamstring) will not play Monday, April 23, but manager Ron Washington said Beltre will be fine for the rest of the series. "The hamstring's fine," Washington said. "He's going to work out today. That's good news. If everything works out tonight, there's a possibility you might see him." INF Michael Young is starting at third Monday.

Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington inserted 1B Michael Young into the starting lineup at third base Saturday, April 21, in the second game of a doubleheader against the Texas Rangers. Washington said Young will be the primary third baseman while 3B Adrian Beltre (hamstring) is on the mend. Beltre expects to miss four games.
