Rick Eymer, of Oakland.Athletics.MLB.com, reports Oakland Athletics 2B Lou Merloni (head) participated in his first full workout in almost a week Sunday, March 11. Merloni had been limited to just hitting off a tee because of a slight concussion after getting hit in the head by a pitch.

Alan Eskew, of Oakland.Athletics.MLB.com, reports Oakland Athletics 2B Lou Merloni (head) was hit in the head by a pitch Tuesday, March 6, and was scheduled to see a doctor late Tuesday night. The pitch hit Merloni in the helmet and the team is monitoring him to see when he will be able to return.
