The Associated Press reports the Los Angeles Dodgers released IF Damian Jackson Sunday, March 11. The 33-year-old veteran wasn't pleased by the decision, as he angrily left the locker room afterwards. "I no longer have anything to do with baseball," said Jackson. He hit just .168 last season with the Washington Nationals and had hit just .125 (2-for-16) in spring action with the Dodgers.

Ken Gurnick, of LosAngeles.Dodgers.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers SS Rafael Furcal (shoulder) hit from the left side of the plate, although not aggressively, during batting practice Friday, March 9, and also threw from 40 feet. He is expected to return to game action in the middle of next week at the earliest. The Dodgers have used infielders Wilson Valdez, Damian Jackson, Chin-Lung Hu and Tony Abreu to replace him so far this spring.
