According to a report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, former Arizona Diamondbacks IF Jay Bell is on the Hall of Fame ballot for the first time in 2009.

The Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro reports three former Major League Baseball players, including two ex-Arizona Diamondbacks, will serve as Diamondback instructors during the team's spring camp. Former Diamondbacks IF and bench coach Jay Bell and former 3B Matt Williams also will be in camp as special instructors, as will former San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals 1B Will Clark.
