Head coach Dick Jauron, who coached Gibson with the Chicago Bears, says sometimes it is hard for players with high expectations who do not perform to that level to stick in the game, "It takes a certain type of individual to work through that and stay with the game." Jauron is impressed with Gibson's work ethic and thinks he is a good fit for the Bills offensive line.
