The Associated Press' Mike Fitzpatrick reports the New York Yankees declined their $3 million option for the 2006 season on 1B Tino Martinez Tuesday, Nov. 8. Martinez is undecided as to whether he will retire or return in 2006 with another team. Martinez receives a $250,000 buyout and becomes a free agent.
