Chicago White Sox 1B Adam Dunn might find himself in a partial platoon situation, primarily working against right-handed pitchers, with 1B Paul Konerko and 1B Jose Abreu in the first base/designated hitter mix.
Fantasy Tip: Dunn is in a contract year, so perhaps that will help to jump-start his offense. His first three years on the south side of Chicago have been disappointing, as he batted just .197 with a .317 on-base percentage. He will be mostly useful to those in AL-only leagues, and formats which do not penalize strikeouts. Rotisserie owners will find him useful in the power categories still, but he will kill your batting average.

Chicago White Sox 1B Paul Konerko said Friday, Sept. 27, that next season will be his last if he decides to play another year. He'll take at least a month to decide if he'll return in 2014. "I'm as confused as anybody else," Konerko said. "You can tell. I don't really have answers. I think taking a month off, a month away from this, which I know if I do that, the more you don't play, the needle will always move toward wanting to play. That's what I feel would happen. That's what people tell me." Konerko is willing to play part time next season.
