The Pittsburgh Steelers considered re-signing free-agent OTs Flozell Adams and Max Starks after placing OT Willie Colon (triceps) on Injured Reserve but have decided to go with OT Marcus Gilbert at right tackle.

Pittsburgh Steelers OT Flozell Adams plans to play in the 2011 season, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. There has been speculation on whether Adams will retire. However, his agent said that is not the case. "Flo is planning on playing," said Jordan Woy. "We will need to talk to Pitt (once the lockout ends) and determine his role and if it will be with the Steelers."

Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II said that the club wants OT Flozell Adams back next season, denying an ESPN report that Adams would be released, according to Gerry Dulac, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Adams has a $5 million salary for next season.
