Colorado Rockies 1B Jason Giambi is leaning toward declining his $1 million option for next season. Multiple teams were interested in him at the trading deadline this year, including the Philadelphia Phillies. The Rockies could still re-sign him if he declines.

Colorado Rockies 1B Jason Giambi would not reject a trade to a contending team if he could return to the Rockies in the offseason as a free agent. "That's the thing I wanted most for them to hear. If there was a situation where it was, 'Oh, I think this would be a good opportunity for you,' that would be fine as long as they know I want to come back," Giambi said.
