The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports Florida Marlins OF Cody Ross joined 3B Mike Lowell as the only Marlins to ever homer three times in one game. In addition, Ross matched Greg Colbrunn (July 18, 1995) and Gary Sheffield (Sept. 18, 1995) for most RBI in a game with seven.

Updating previous reports, the Associated Press reports Texas Rangers 1B Greg Colbrunn (back/hip) underwent successful surgery to repair both a herniated disk in his back and remove a bone chip from his hip. Colbrunn will be unable to resume baseball activity for eight weeks and will not be able to return to the lineup until August, according to manager Buck Showalter.

Updating an ongoing story, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting Texas Rangers IF Greg Colbrunn (disc) is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a herniated cervical disc in his neck this week. It is a procedure that likely will keep him sidelined until September.

The Dallas Morning News reports renowned spine specialist Dr. Drew Dossett has diagnosed Texas Rangers DH Greg Colbrunn (disk) with a herniated cervical disk. Colbrunn will undergo further tests Thursday, May 19 before deciding whether to undergo surgery.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Texas Rangers IF Greg Colbrunn (wrist) said he shouldn't be out more than a couple of days after receiving a cortisone injection in his surgically repaired right wrist Monday, March 28. The Rangers are strongly considering putting Colbrunn on the disabled list to start the season.
