San Diego Padres manager Bud Black said Tuesday, March 1, that C Gregg Zaun (shoulder) was fine after a throwing session, but he still needs to build up arm strength, reports Dan Hayes, of the North County Times. Zaun is hopeful of returning in the next seven to 10 days.

San Diego Padres Cs Gregg Zaun (shoulder) and Rob Johnson (ribs) will not see Spring Training exhibition action until later in the week, reports Bill Center of The San Diego Union-Tribune. "He could be up to a week away," said manager Bud Black in regard to Zaun. Black also stated that Johnson could return by the weekend.

San Diego Padres C Gregg Zaun (shoulder) said Tuesday, Feb. 15, that he feels fine two days into camp, reports Dan Hayes, of the North County Times. "It felt great today and that was after my first full day of camp," Zaun said. "I expected it to be pretty sore. Everything else is sore, but the arm feels good."
