Derrick Goold, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Cardinals C Kelly Stinnett, who is slated to become a free agent after the season, is not likely to pursue any opportunities to play next season. If a team approaches Stinnett with an offer, he would consider it, but otherwise, he will retire from catching to spend more time with his family or possibly try his hand at managing.
