Retired C Jorge Posada said he isn't interested in making a comeback to baseball. "I have no interest in playing ball," he said. "I don't want to be gone for that long. You retire to be home and you don't want to be gone for a month and a half." Posada is serving as a guest instructor for the New York Yankees in camp.

The Tampa Bay Rays have expressed interest in free-agent DH Jorge Posada (Yankees), according to his father. Jorge Posada Sr. said in a Spanish-language interview with Javier Maymi of ESPN Deportes that the Rays would consider using him as a catcher, first baseman and designated hitter if they signed him. He added that the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies had also shown interest.
