Updating a previous item, The Toronto Star's Allan Ryan reports Toronto Blue Jays C Greg Myers is happy with his new contract, considering the injuries and age status. "I think this was fair, given the severity of the injury and the concerns they might have," said Myers. "Even if the 2004 season was still going right now, I don't know if I'd be ready — but it's close. I think I've played long enough to know what it's all about. I'm confident I'll know how to approach it ... get myself ready."

The Associated Press reports the Toronto Blue Jays re-signed C Greg Myers to a minor-league contract. He would get a $700,000, one-year contract if he is added to the major league roster and could earn an additional $50,000 in performance bonuses: $5.000 each for 150, 200, 250, 300 and 400 plate appearances, and $5,000 each for 100, 110, 120, 130 and 150 games.

Updating previous items, the AP reports injured Toronto Blue Jays C Greg Myers (ankle) will likely miss at least four weeks of action, according to Toronto manager Carlos Tosca. Additionally, Myers also has a deep bone bruise. "That's probably as big a contributor as the sprain," said Tosca.
