The NFL has announced former NFL head coach Bill Parcells, DT Warren Sapp, WR Cris Carter, OT Jonathan Ogden, OG Larry Allen, DT Curley Culp and LB Dave Robinson have been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Matt Mosley, of ESPN.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys have signed free-agent OG Larry Allen (49ers) to a one-day contact so Allen can retire as a member of the Cowboys.

Tom FitzGerald, of the San Francisco Chronicle, reports it is unclear if free-agent OG Larry Allen (49ers) wants to return to play for the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Mike Nolan said Allen has indicated that he would like to play for somebody in 2008. Nolan stated that there is a possibility that Allen could return to the team.

The Associated Press reports free-agent OG Larry Allen (49ers) may consider postponing his retirement to return this season, according to head coach Mike Nolan. Nolan has not spoken directly to Allen, but said Monday, July 21, offensive line coach George Warhop had a recent conversation with him. "He called a week or two ago to express his interest, but I haven't heard from him since," Nolan said. "I just think because he's a free agent, he just left it up to his agent this time."

Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan does not expect free-agent OG Larry Allen (49ers) to return to the NFL. Allen is not under contract with the team so he does not need to inform anyone about his decision to retire. Both Allen and his agent, Marvin Demoff, remain silent.

Alex Marvez, of FOXSports.com, reports that according to documents obtained by FOXSports.com, the San Francisco 49ers had five players on their roster that played every single snap during the 2007 season, which was a league high. LB Patrick Willis and CB Nate Clements were the only two players to be on the field for every defensive snap. OT Joe Staley, OG Larry Allen and C Eric Heitmann were the three players on offense to be on the field for every offensive snap.
