New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi is not sure who the starting pitcher will be for the team Sunday, July 13. Newly acquired SP Jeff Francis may seem like a logical option, but he has not had a lot of work lately. "He's a guy that's probably in the 30 to 40 pitch range right now," Girardi said, noting that Francis hadn't arrived yet. "We'll talk to him when he gets here and see what he's been doing the last few days."

New York Yankees OF Carlos Beltran (elbow) is expected to get a second opinion on his injured right elbow Tuesday, May 20, from noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews. Beltran is on the disabled list with a bone spur. He received a second cortisone injection in the elbow Saturday, said manager Joe Girardi.
