The Associated Press reports the Pittsburgh Pirates signed free-agent C Einar Diaz (Dodgers) to a minor-league contract. Diaz will make $600,000 if he is added to the Pirates' major-league roster. He can earn $225,000 in bonuses, though he must start 110 games to reach all of his incentives.
