Tim Kirby, of DevilRays.MLB.com, reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays RP Jay Witasick (elbow) threw a scoreless inning Wednesday, Aug. 8, in a rehab appearance for Class A Vero Beach. He threw 13 pitches in the appearance and allowed one hit. Witasick is scheduled to pitch in one more appearance for Vero Beach before moving up to Triple-A Durham.

Dawn Klemish, of DevilRays.MLB.com, reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays RP Jay Witasick (elbow) got through his bullpen session Sunday, Aug. 5, without any setbacks. Manager Joe Maddon and vice president Andrew Friedman will now work together to come up with a rehab schedule for Witasick.
