The Tampa Bay Rays signed free-agent RP Brian Shouse (knee) to a minor league deal and placed on him on the 15-day disabled list with a right knee sprain, MLB.com's Adam Berry reports. He will start a rehab assignment Tuesday, July 6, with the Gulf Coast Rays.

Pitchers with a chance at the final spot include Boof Bonser, Ramon A.
