The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are looking at free-agent RPs Francisco Cordero (Reds), Brad Lidge (Phillies) and Luis Ayala (Yankees). Cordero has offers from the Philadelphia Phillies, Angels, Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays. Lidge is down to the Phillies and Colorado Rockies.

Philadelphia Phillies general manager Scott Proefrock was pessimistic that free-agent RP Brad Lidge (Phillies) will return to the team in 2012. "Brad's a tremendous part of the success of our franchise," Proefrock said. "You never say never, but I'd say at this point it would have to be the right situation for both parties."

Updating a previous report, the Colorado Rockies are not looking to sign free-agent RP Brad Lidge (Phillies). The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim remain on the periphery for Lidge.
