Barry Svrluga, of The Washington Post, reports Washington Nationals RP Ray King is now a free agent. The Nationals optioned King down to Triple-A Columbus last week but he did not want to go. The team recalled him over the weekend to get him back on the 40-man roster, then passed him through waivers. King has cleared waivers and the team optioned him to Triple-A Columbus. King declined and officially has become a free agent.
